How it is built

The pipeline

  1. Find the idea. One idea, shown, not lectured.
  2. Demonstrate it.Prefer demonstration over captions. Stop when the idea is clear.

What it is for

An AI explainer maker for showing how something works (a mechanism, a process, a product) without a lecture over the top. Write what people should understand by the end. The brief asks for one idea, shown rather than lectured, with demonstration over captions, ending once the idea is clear.

Inputs

What it asks for

  • Neededwhat people should understand
  • Neededlength

How to make it

  1. Step 1

    Say what should be understood

Write the idea, the steps in order and who it is for. Name the parts that move and the order they move in, as the lock example below does. Say what the viewer gets wrong today, so the demonstration starts from their mistake.

  2. Step 2

    Set the length

Set the running time between 15 and 60 seconds (it starts at 30); it goes into the brief as the length to plan shots for. The reference box on the form takes photos, clips and audio up to what Imagera Warlord Pro accepts, preloaded in Sandbox by Direct, not carried to Canvas, so for Canvas name the parts and their order in the brief.

  3. Step 3

    Direct it in Sandbox

Press “Direct my explainer”: Sandbox opens Imagera Warlord Pro in Reference to video and uploads your photos into its reference slots. It needs at least one photo; with none attached, you get Imagera Warlord Pro in Text to video instead. One clip per run; prompt polish may rewrite the brief unless you switch it off.

  4. Step 4

    Or open it in Canvas

Open in Canvas adds one node, Demonstrate it, priced before it runs. It is set to 8 seconds and picks its engine until you choose one. If one clip cannot show every step, run the node once per step and join the clips in order.

Example brief

On the Create page this brief loads from the “How a lock works” chip under the preview.

How a lock works

Macro of a pin-tumbler lock. Key slides in. Pins lift in sequence. The plug turns. Cut to a door opening onto morning.

Length: 20 seconds

Questions

Does it add captions?

It prefers to show rather than caption. Add captions and labels in your editor, where you control the wording.

Can I use my own diagram?

Yes, as a reference: attach it to the reference box and Direct preloads it in Sandbox. Describe its parts, their order and how they move as well; the brief is written to demonstrate them in sequence, and Canvas gets only those words.

How long can the explainer be?

15–60 seconds on the form, starting at 30. Each run renders one clip, so at the Canvas node's 8-second setting a 30-second explainer is about 4 clips, joined in your editor. Spend the most clips on the step people usually get wrong.

What does it cost?

Credits per run, priced on the Sandbox button and on each Canvas node before you run. No paid generation costs less than 15 credits.
