Choose a row of slides or a picture mosaic

The Grid choices are 2 × 1, 3 × 1 Carousel, 3 × 2, 3 × 3 Instagram grid or 2 × 2, starting with 3 × 1 Carousel. A single row gives side-by-side slices for a panorama. A layout with several rows divides the picture in both directions.

The controls offer fixed layouts, not movable cutting lines or a custom row count. Choose the arrangement for your finished picture and run the split. To combine several different pictures into one composition, use the separate Photo Collage Maker.

Keep the whole frame while planning each slice

The split divides the full working image edge to edge. It does not crop a panorama to a social-media ratio, stretch each piece into a square or add padding around the tiles. Their proportions come from the source width and height divided by the chosen layout.

Prepare the overall framing before splitting if a face or a word falls across an awkward seam. Image Cropper handles trimming, and Image Resizer handles exact dimensions. Very large sources may first be reduced to fit the browser’s canvas limits.

Read slide numbers differently from profile post numbers

Carousel filenames begin with slide and count from the left edge to the right. Select them in that sequence within one carousel. For a multirow layout, filenames begin with post and count backward from the bottom-right corner. The result also states the intended order.

That reverse sequence is designed for a profile that puts the newest post first. Check the destination preview before publishing: file order alone cannot compensate for a platform’s thumbnail crop, pinned posts or later rearrangement. This tool creates image files; it does not publish them.

Use the contact sheet to plan, then take the tile files

The large result preview is a contact sheet with gaps and sequence numbers. It helps you see where the pieces belong. Those guides are drawn separately from the individual tile images, so the contact sheet is not the picture to use for each slide.

Choose a tile in the output gallery to save that piece, or use the archive download to collect all pieces. Keep their numbered filenames while arranging the post. The archive contains the tiles rather than a ready-made social post or print layout.

Count the pixels left in each piece

Each tile contains only its share of the picture. Splitting a small photo into more pieces does not make those pieces more detailed. When dimensions do not divide evenly, neighboring widths or heights can differ by one pixel so the full working image is covered.

The browser saves newly encoded image files, not unchanged fragments of the original file. Some output types use compression, and large sources can be reduced before cutting. Inspect lettering and edges in a saved tile, and keep the original if exact pixel values matter.

Cut an existing design locally or create the artwork first

The image is decoded and divided inside your browser. No image upload or generative model is used for the cut. Cutting the tiles happens locally after the splitter loads its code; website services still use the network.
