Turn a destination link or message into a QR pattern

Paste your destination into Link or text. Recognized bare domains gain https://; other content is encoded as entered, with whitespace trimmed from the ends. A short note can be stored directly instead of linking to a website.

For a menu, survey or event schedule, use the address of a page that already exists. The generator draws the code; it does not publish a website, host a document or create the destination for you.

A static code stays fixed while its destination can change

The saved pattern contains your content directly. The engine adds no expiration date and does not replace your address with an Imagera redirect. A website code remains useful only while its destination is available. An expiring link pasted into the generator still expires.

Changing the entered address creates a different code. You cannot update an already printed pattern through this tool. For material you expect to reuse, point it at a page you control and update that page while keeping its address stable.

Keep the QR border clear and the pattern dark

Choose Classic, Rounded or Dots under Style. The default is Classic. Set a dark code color against a light background; inverted or low-contrast pairs are rejected with an explanation. Decorative shapes still need a real scan test.

The blank border is the quiet zone. Keep its default of 4 modules when placing the code in a busy layout, and avoid cropping it away. A module is one small square in the grid, not one output pixel. Nearby lettering or artwork should stay outside this clear area.

Choose a QR export for a screen or printed layout

The File type choices are PNG image or SVG (scales for print). PNG is a raster image for placing at an appropriate pixel size. SVG stores the drawn shapes as paths, so a layout editor can resize them without enlarging a bitmap. Both include a solid background.

The size choices are 512 px, 1024 px or 2048 px (print), with 1024 px selected initially. Pixel dimensions alone do not establish a reliable printed size: content density, paper, camera and viewing distance all matter. Scan a proof at the actual size and distance before printing the full run.

Balance QR content length with error correction

The text field allows up to 1,000 characters, but that is an input limit rather than a guarantee that every string will fit. The encoder can still reject content. Shorten an overlong message or link if the tool reports too much text.

Advanced offers Low (7%), Medium (15%), High (25%) or Highest (30%), starting at Medium (15%). Error correction adds recovery data and can make the pattern denser. Its percentage is not permission to cover that share of the picture with a logo. Keep the code unobstructed and test the finished design.

Local QR encoding is separate from opening the link

Your entered content goes to the encoder inside the browser. No input image or file upload is needed. The QR encoder needs its page code to load, and website services still use a connection.

The generated pattern has no built-in scan counter. A linked website or a redirect you supply can still record visits. Plain text is stored in the code itself, but following a web address normally needs a connection. Anyone who reads the code can read its contents.
